Uphill Farm Walled Garden

Harriet & Chris's Country Music-Inspired Wedding at Uphill Farm Walled Garden

In August, Harriet and Chris celebrated their wedding at Uphill Farm Walled Garden, a beautiful venue that harmonised perfectly with their love for country music. Their special day was filled with personal touches, showcasing their shared passion and appreciation for rural charm.

The walled garden, expertly managed by the lovely Charlotte and her husband, provided the ideal backdrop for their nuptials. As always, Charlotte’s hospitality shone through, complemented by her friendly staff and the exceptional food and drink they served throughout the day. Notably, Charlotte also crafted the stunning floral arrangements, all sourced from the garden itself.

The beautiful cake was made by Chris’s sister and owner of Proper Vintage based in Cornwall.

Harriet’s romantic dress from The Bridal Emporium in Exeter was a stunning choice, radiating elegance and charm, while Chris looked dapper in his suit by Marc Darcy. As a photographer, I found as a couple they exuded a relaxed vibe that made capturing their day an absolute pleasure.

Included below is an excerpt from an email I received from Harriet after the wedding, which reflects the joy they felt on their special day. Their happiness and enthusiasm were palpable, and it was an honour to document their journey.

The evening culminated in a charming pizza feast, with mouth-watering pizzas made fresh in the outdoor kitchen’s pizza oven, perfectly accompanied by the tantalising aroma of food cooking in the open air. As the night fell, guests enjoyed roasting marshmallows around the fire, creating a lovely, warm atmosphere.

To add to the enchanting scene, a scattering of children—each dressed in outfits that beautifully complemented the flowers in the garden—brought an extra layer of joy to the celebrations. This venue is a big hit with children as they can run wild, barefoot and carefree all while being contained in a large walled garden.

Overall, Harriet and Chris’s wedding was a delightful blend of country charm and personal significance, establishing it as a memorable day in the picturesque setting of Uphill Farm Walled Garden. As they embark on their honeymoon to America to explore the origins of country music, we wish them all the best for their future together.

Hello Hollie,

We’ve had a look through the photo gallery and we just cannot thank you enough!!

You’ve captured absolutely everything, and it was such a treat to see all the moments I’d missed on the actual day too!

Everyone from the wedding has said how wonderful you were, and we’re so grateful you agreed to be our photographer!!

We will of course be recommending you to EVERYONE - even random people on the street!

I’ll get all of the pictures downloaded onto the hard drive this weekend, just to be safe!

I don’t know what else to say except THANKYOU!!!
You helped make our day perfect, and we hope you enjoyed it too.

Please feel free to use any of the photos that you want, once I’ve downloaded the pictures I’m going to be putting them everywhere!

Thankyou again!

America was great (sucks a bit to be back to reality) but your photos have cheered us up massively!!

We hope you’re well and enjoyed the rest of your summer!
Lots of love
Harriet and Chris
